Meet your captain in Le François for a morning departure at 9:00 AM or an afternoon departure at 1:30 PM and enjoy a friendly small-group excursion through the beautiful lagoon of Martinique’s Atlantic coast.

Aboard a motorboat, discover the stunning islets of Le François and Le Robert while learning about the history, traditions, and natural heritage of this unique area protected by a coral reef barrier.

One of the highlights of the tour is a stop at Ilet Chancel, a remarkable site home to the ruins of a former sugar plantation. The islet is also the last refuge in Martinique for the Lesser Antillean Iguana, an endemic and endangered species that can be observed roaming freely in its natural habitat.

The excursion continues to the famous white sandbars of Le François and the legendary Josephine’s Bathtub. This unmissable site, with its clear and shallow waters, offers the perfect setting to relax, swim, and enjoy the beauty of Martinique’s coastline.

During your swimming stop at Josephine’s Bathtub, a traditional Caribbean aperitif will be served directly in the water. Morning departures include homemade planter’s punch, ti-punch, fruit juices, fresh water, and delicious codfish or vegetable fritters. Afternoon departures feature local sweet pastries and traditional desserts, accompanied by drinks.

• What to bring: bath towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, cap, swimsuit, lycra, windbreaker and water-resistant flip flops, camera, your flippers, mask and snorkel if you have.

However, it is essential to contact us before booking in order to assess the feasibility of the activity, particularly in the case of a severe disability.
