Description
A Hike Through Martinique’s Tropical Nature
The trail covers around 3 km round trip with approximately 150 metres of elevation gain. You first walk along the riverbanks. Then, some sections take you directly into the water.
Don’t worry: the hike remains accessible and enjoyable. However, we recommend wearing suitable shoes for walking in water and over rocky sections.
Along the way, the tropical forest surrounds you. Majestic trees line the river while birdsong accompanies your walk. In addition, the dense vegetation creates a cool and peaceful atmosphere, especially on sunny days.
The Carbet Natural Waterslide
After the hike, you finally reach the waterfall. The water flows into a natural pool around 3 metres deep.
You can then enjoy a refreshing swim. If conditions allow, you can also slide down the rock and experience the unique sensation of a natural waterslide in the heart of Martinique.
This fun activity adds a touch of adventure to your day. It is particularly suitable for families, groups of friends and travellers looking for an original way to discover Martinique’s natural environment.
A Relaxing Moment in Nature
A small area near the waterfall provides a place to sit and relax. You can take your time, enjoy the scenery or simply watch others have fun in the water.
The area also offers a pleasant setting for a picnic. After the hike, share a convivial moment beside the river and enjoy the tropical surroundings.
Finally, the cool water, lush forest and natural rock slide create a memorable experience. The Carbet Natural Waterslide combines hiking, swimming and nature discovery in one refreshing outdoor adventure.
