Begin Your Experience at Habitation du Simon

Your visit starts in the elegant reception rooms of Habitation du Simon, a beautifully restored 18th-century estate surrounded by sugar cane fields.

Here, you’ll receive an introduction to the day’s program before heading behind the scenes of the distillery.

Work Alongside the Distiller

Next, spend time with one of A1710’s skilled distillers.

For about an hour, you’ll follow the distiller through the daily production process. Along the way, you’ll discover the techniques, precision, and craftsmanship required to produce high-quality agricole rum.

This unique behind-the-scenes experience offers an authentic look at one of Martinique’s most respected distilleries.

Discover Fermentation and Distillation

The experience continues with a guided presentation of the fermentation process.

Learn how fresh sugar cane juice transforms before distillation and discover why fermentation plays such an important role in developing each rum’s unique character.

Then, take part in the day’s distillation.

Under the supervision of the Master Distiller, you’ll observe the hybrid copper stills in operation and discover each stage of the process, from heating to the final spirit cut.

To make the experience even more memorable, you’ll taste freshly distilled rum directly from the still—an exclusive privilege rarely offered to visitors.
