You will then follow the Route de la Trace to immerse yourself in Martinique’s nature in the rainforest. Next stop: the Saut du Gendarme waterfall. After an easy and short 5-minute walk to reach the waterfall, you will be enchanted by this verdant place!

Excursion to Saint Pierre and the Caribbean Coast

Heading towards the ruins of Saint Pierre. The former capital of Martinique was destroyed by the volcano in 1902. The city has been rebuilt since, but some ruins are still visitable. You can admire the landscape and the majestic Mount Pelée. You will be at the foot of the volcano where Saint Pierre, the “Little Paris of the Caribbean,” is located.

The final stop on this tour of northern Martinique will be Carbet Beach. It’s a wide beach with calm waters, transparent seas, and black sand. You can relax while gazing at the sea and Mount Pelée, or perhaps refresh yourself with a dip.

Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea on the return journey to Fort-de-France along the coast. Afterward, you can explore downtown Fort-de-France by having lunch at a restaurant or visiting Fort Saint Louis, for example.

Authentic South Circuit

The ‘Authentic South Circuit’ takes you on a journey to discover the hidden treasures of southern Martinique. This tour combines cultural visits, natural discoveries, and moments of relaxation for a comprehensive and enriching experience.

Our heritage revealed during the visit to southern Martinique:

After your introduction to Martinique rum, we will stop at Cap 110, a memorial erected in memory of the victims of slavery. This memorial consists of 15 busts, each 2.50 meters tall, arranged in a triangle symbolizing the transatlantic slave trade between the Americas, Europe, and Africa.

We will start the day by heading south of the island to visit the Trois Rivières distillery. At this non-smoking distillery, you will discover the different types of agricultural rum produced in Martinique. Enjoy a tasting and take home your favorite(s)! Coconut-based products are also available for purchase on-site.

Next, we’ll gain some altitude to reach a viewpoint overlooking the Diamond Rock. Your guide will explain the role played by this former dormant volcano in Martinique’s history and its connection with France. Don’t forget your camera for this unique opportunity!

Pleasure and awakening of the senses:

Then head to Les Anses d’Arlet, a small fishing village. There, you’ll discover the town church facing the sea. On the facing pier, capture your iconic Martinique souvenir photo! Take advantage of this stop to sunbathe on the white sand beach, swim, and even explore the underwater world! A snorkeling spot with coral reefs and fish observation is accessible by swimming. Equipment (mask/snorkel) is included, giving you the chance to encounter turtles and other colorful fish.

We’ll finish on a spicy note with a shopping stop in Lamentin, where you can immerse yourself in the scents of spices, chocolate, and local coffee or teas. Following a presentation of the various products by a team of enthusiasts, take home these intoxicatingly colorful memories.
