Exploring the South of Martinique

Savoring Local Flavors*

Your journey begins in Le Lamentin with a delightful immersion into Martinique’s local flavors. Discover a selection of aromatic spices, handcrafted chocolates, local coffees, and tropical teas while meeting a passionate team eager to share their expertise and traditions. A perfect opportunity to bring home authentic tastes of the island.

*(Depending on opening hours, the stop may be replaced by a local market, without tasting.)

Heritage Unveiled

Next, we’ll stop at the Cap 110 Memorial, a moving tribute to the victims of slavery. The 15 impressive stone statues facing the sea symbolize remembrance and the historic triangle trade routes linking Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Scenic and Historic Views

We then head up to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the iconic Diamond Rock. Your guide will reveal the fascinating history of this volcanic landmark and its strategic role in Martinique’s past. Don’t forget your camera — the panoramic views are unforgettable.

Relaxation and Exploration

Our adventure continues in Les Anses d’Arlet, one of Martinique’s most charming fishing villages. Admire the famous church perfectly aligned with the pontoon, a true postcard setting of the island. Enjoy free time to relax on the white sand beach, swim in crystal-clear waters, or snorkel among tropical fish and sea turtles in the nearby reefs.

You southern island tour of Martinique will end around 01:30 PM.

    Exploring Martinique

Had a great tour with Akina. She filled us with lots of history, stories, and more! Many interesting and fun stops. If short on time, an excellent way to see the southern part of the island. Akina is a wonderful tour guide!

    Brilliant tour

Absolutely fantastic experience. Akina was a great guide – funny and informative, and found time to speak to everyone individually. It was easy to arrange, and to be picked up from my hotel. I enjoyed every stop, from the beach to Diamond rock, to the rum tasting at the distillery. Definitely recommend.

    Excellent half day tour!

Really good way of discovering the south of the island in 5 hours. Good explanations
providing by Brice, our guide, and all ran to time.

Our driver/guide, Stephan, read his group well, mixing personal vignettes and jokes for an informative and enjoyable tour. When the AC in our van died, Stephan arranged for a new car, and since that added to the length of our stay at out first stop, he extended the length of the tour to compensate and ensure that we weren’t shortchanged due to car problems. Bravo!
