Accompanied by the distiller

You will then follow the distiller in his daily tasks for an hour, observing each stage of his meticulous work. This authentic immersion opens the doors to the behind-the-scenes world of production, where expertise meets passion for the craft.

The magic of fermentation

Watch a complete demonstration of fermentation, a key stage where the transformation of sugar cane into rum comes to life. The distiller will reveal the subtleties of this delicate process, essential to creating the complex aromas of A1710 rums.

Participation in the day’s distillation

Under the supervision of the master distiller, you will actively participate in the day’s distillation. Discover how the hybrid copper stills work and accompany the distiller in his precise movements, from heating to cutting. You will even have the rare privilege of tasting the rum as it comes out of the still, a moment suspended in time, reserved for initiates.

Exclusive tastings

Throughout the distillation process, you will taste the rum at different stages of its production, observing the evolution of its aromatic notes.
After a refreshing break, the experience continues in the cosy lounges of the Habitation du Simon, with a guided tasting of the iconic A1710 vintages. Each sip will reveal the richness, depth and finesse of the house’s expertise.
